‘Movement’ Exhibition Opening at Glassworks Barcelona

For the last edition of the program for 2016, ARTWORKS proudly presented ‘Movement’, an all female exhibition that brought a sense of abstract familiarity to the Glassworks Barcelona office. The works on show comprised of both painting and sculpture, offering a multi-disciplinary perspective on the theme of movement from the eyes of two celebrated artists. The exhibition opened at the end of November to an audience of both art enthusiasts, as well as friends and colleagues in the creative industries. Guests who attended also had the opportunity to meet the artists who are both very excited to be a part of the ARTWORKS program. For the preview evening, Xavi's Lab created a live induced interation experience creating gifs broadcasted through a live feed online receiving over 3000 views in a few hours!
We are happy to be sharing with you memories from the opening evening which captured the lively spirit of the event by our friends at Phaded. Photograpy.
The ARTWORKS exhibition program looks to engage with contemporary art, film, design and fashion and inspire the creatives and clients who visit the Glassworks offices. The participation of our sponsors is vital to the success of the opening events, and we are thankful for their enthusiasm, generosity and foresight that enables the ARTWORKS program to realise its cultural endeavours.
Thank you to Ninja Tune and their world class djs who kept the dance floor alive until the very end, and to @El Xitxarel·lo for keeping our guests refreshed with their local, sassy wine with a bottle graphically designed with 77 Catalonian insults. We were proud to have served Estrella Damm , a locally brewed high quality lager with a universally appreciated character.
Continuing to share in the traditions of the local culture, ARTWORKS was delighted to serve @Mister Vins and @El Bandarra Vermouth wrapped in a bottle designed using playfully chromatic words.
We are grateful to our experienced art handlers @De Koerier for safely transporting the artworks in the exhibition, and for their superb service in London, Amsterdam and now Barcelona!
